Aquarium schedules ‘Autism Day’

Events include an interactive dive presentation that includes educator-led identification of the animals in “Cape Fear Shoals,” the 235,000-gallon exhibit featuring sharks, rays and a green sea turtle. “Dive” is held at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Visitors can also collect seven aquarium passport stamps, to guide them through the exhibits and help them identify animal-touching opportunities.

A calm-space is available, to help provide comfort, relaxation, and a break space for families and children.

Other scheduled Autism Friendly Day programs and activities include:

10 a.m. – Filming of “Unlovables,” featuring creepy and unusual ocean creatures

10:30 a.m. – Dive Show at Cape
