Aquarium staff to describe how they rescue sea turtles

Each fall and winter, injured and ill young sea turtles are rescued from the chilly waters and beaches of Cape Cod Bay.

Veterinarians at New England Aquarium treat them at the aquarium’s Animal Care Center in the former Quincy shipyard, saving more than 90 percent of the turtles and releasing them back into the ocean. Most are the critically endangered Kemp’s ridley turtles.
