Mama snake and Anaconda Ale at aquarium

Get your congratulatory cigars and drinks ready because the Oregon Coast Aquarium’s anaconda is about to be a mama.

The aquarium staff is preparing for her to give birth “any minute,” said aquarium spokeswoman Cindy Hanson, though they don’t know the exact date because they don’t know when she got pregnant.

The lady anaconda shares her enclosure in the “Swampland” exhibit with a male anaconda, and the two got along well enough that she was given an ultrasound in May.
