New aquarium in St. Andrews, N.B., displays Bay of Fundy sea life

ST. ANDREWS, N.B. – A new $8-million aquarium highlighting sea life from the Bay of Fundy will open in St. Andrews by Labour Day and is expected to attract at least 50,000 visitors a year, says spokesman Jim Cornall.

The 1,850-square-metre Fundy Discovery Aquarium, located at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, will remain open year-round. It replaces a much smaller aquarium that had been at the site since 1972 and was torn down in May 2010.
