Orissa govt to construct aquarium at Puri

Official sources here said the proposed aquarium would be built on three acres of land at a cost of Rs five crore on PPP mode.

This will be fourth aquarium in the state after Nandankanan, Paradip Port and CIFA.

Industrial Development Corporation or Orissa Tourism Development Corporation might be entrusted with the job of constructing the aquarium.

In another major decision, the government decided to set up the Srikhetra Museum based on Jaganath culture on 42 acres land of the Jaganath Ballav math at a cost of Rs 17 crore, sources added.
